Vicky's Pet Connection is a growing non-profit organization in Kent County. Our mission is to rescue and recycle unwanted pets and to emphasize low/no cost spays and neuters. Every dog and cat that passes through VPC is sterilized. We are a "no kill" organization working to secure foster homes for the many animals that pass through our door. The pets are given medical attention, grooming and manner lessons if need be. Keep in mind some of the animals have been neglected (or worse) and foster homes provide the extra TLC they may need. Foster homes can help better discover the pet's true behavior and identify their assests as well.

The Lenawee Humane Society (LHS) is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to caring for unwanted animals and to providing them with preventative medical treatment, food, and shelter until we can find them a new home. Founded in 1921, the Lenawee Humane Society is incorporated by the State of Michigan but receives no government support. The Lenawee Humane Society is supported solely by adoption fees, donations, and membership dues. As a Society, we believe that all life should be revered and that all living creatures should be treated with kindness and respect.

Adopt-A-Pet is a non-profit charity program which is run by volunteers. Our pets are housed in foster care homes rather than a shelter. This way, they are kept in a very similiar environment to that of their new adoptive home.

The Allegan County Animal Shelter is a small shelter in a rural area. Sadly, the shelter does need to regularly euthanize in order to make room for new animals that come in almost daily. We would rather see every adoptable pet be adopted into a loving home.
