Augusta Is now 16 and has saved the lives of 100 animals that would have been euthanized. Second Chance Pet AdoptionSecond Chance Pet Adoption founded in 1995, is a not-for-profit, all volunteer rescue and foster home organization serving the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and surrounds. We foster stray, abandoned, sick, or injured cats and kittens primarily. All animals are given routine veterinary care or any emergency care and then placed in private foster homes. Most of our animals are fostered for two weeks before they are available for adoption. This gives us a chance to observe the cat's personality and health.
