This web site exists to encourage people to open their homes to one or two of the many abandoned cats that are in shelters or that are starving on the streets. I have fostered many stray cats who have been lucky enough to eventually find permanent homes. The rewards of helping an animal, who has nowhere else to go, are huge!

Doggone Dogs
Doggone Dogs of S. Florida is a no kill, non profit 501c3 dog and cat rescue. Originally a Sheltie rescue, we quickly expanded to include all dogs, no matter their breed, size or even infirmity. Large, small, young, old, deaf, blind, if they were unwanted or unloved, they were welcome. It was only a matter of time before we expanded even more to include cats and kittens. As a non profit organization, our animals rely heavily on the wonderful people who donate their time to help us run our rescue. We are always in need of more foster homes, supplies and volunteers to staff our adoption site. If you are interested in volunteering your time to help our animals, please contact us. We would be happy to hear from you and have you on our team! Your time counts toward community service hours for school graduation requirements.

"The National Humane Society" Is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization which Receives no government funding, which leaves only huge hearts and good intentions to run our programs. We depend on caring people-people like yourself to be our Volunteers and with you're generous donations.
The N.H.S. and its H.E.R.O. (Health-Education-Rescue-Operations) Program that provides a public service dedicated to stopping the killing of cats and dogs. Pet overpopulation is a People Problem and we have the solution. Traditional animal control is primitive and inhumane. Animals MUST NOT be born to die! THEY DESERVE MUCH BETTER. The National Humane Society will work to assist and motivate shelters to decrease and eventually eliminate euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats. N.H.S. will work to assist in other locations and with groups throughout Florida and the Southeast in pursuit of the same goals.

Little Red Dog Rescue was started in memory of our late little red dachshund, Skippy. Our mission is to assist with the placement of loving companion animals, who were previously placed in high-kill facilities. Our job is to provide any needed medical treatment, including vaccinations, and spay or neuter. Once the dog is ready for adoption, our goal is to find him or her a loving home. Will you please help us in our efforts by adopting a new friend?
