The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has served as every Tampa Bay pet owner's safety net for 65 years. According to an article in the St. Petersburg Times (2000) more than 77,000 dogs and cats are turned over to shelters in Hillsborough and pinellas counties annually. Of those dogs that are admitted to shelters, almost 25 percent are purebred.
The SPCA provides services to between 16,000 and 18,000 homeless and abandoned animals every year. Once it is determined that an animal is physically and emotionally suitable for adoption, the SPCA provides food, shelter, medical care and behavior training until the animal is adopted.

We want to prevent pet over-population and the killing of homeless pets that end up in our County shelters. We will educate the community about the benefits of spaying/neutering, so there?s a better understanding as to why it is so important, not only for the health benefit of the pet, but for the pet owner and for our community

About Us
Stray No More is a 501(c) 3 Volunteer Organization dedicated to reducing the number of animals euthanized in Palm Beach County, Florida through our Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program, Education and Adoption of rescued stray animals. Co-founded in July 1994, Stray No More is run completely by volunteers, 99% of those who work full time jobs. Donated money is tax deductible and 100% goes to benefit the animals, not people! We do not have a shelter. The rescued dogs, cats, puppies and kittens live in foster homes. We conduct extensive interviews, and home visits before an animal can be adopted. Our adoption fee of $81.25 for dogs, and $61.25 for cats includes Spay/Neuter, vaccinations, tests, deworming, heartworm and flea prevention while in foster care, microchip and microchip registration!

Street Cat Sanctuary
The Street Cat Sanctuary, Inc. has been doing rescue in our community for more than nine years. The organization was started by Debbie after she started feeding homeless cats living on the streets at fast food restaurants. Every night Debbie went out on the streets to feed these homeless cats in rain or cold. Many wonderful and the most beautiful cats adopted have come from this very situation. The cats have not asked to be dumped by an owner who no longer wanted the burden of owning a pet nor to born into that type of life; its not their fault. So she started Street Cat Sanctuary, Inc. When a little puppy came along and no one would even take him for free the cat rescue went to the dogs. The little ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan known as Murphy and became Debbie's first dog in 27 years. She believes all cats, dogs, and other pets deserve a chance at life and to have a home of their own.
We are not accepting pets into the shelter at this time. Currently we are only matching those wishing to adopt with loving pets who need a home
