ARAS is a no-kill cat shelter dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals, and providing a safe shelter and a second chance for homeless cats and kittens. Through outreach programs and community referrals, ARAS seeks to educate the public by providing current information regarding other rescue organizations and services when ARAS is unable to accommodate the animal in need. ARAS is committed to helping animals in need of safe environments and people in need of solutions.

Founded in 1910, the Dumb Friends League is a national leader in providing humane care to lost and abandoned animals, rescuing sick, injured and abused animals, adopting pets to new homes, helping pets stay in homes, and educating pet owners and the public about the needs of companion animals.
The Dumb Friends League is the largest animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain region, welcoming tens of thousands animals to our two shelters. We turn no animals away.

It is the mission of the Humane Society of Boulder Valley to protect and enhance the lives of companion animals by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people. The Humane Society is a 501(c)3 private, independent, nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of community members who are dedicated to animal welfare. We are funded primarily through private donations and service revenue. We are not controlled or funded by any statewide or national organization. Donations made to national animal welfare groups do not benefit our local pets. Since its inception in 1902, the Humane Society of Boulder Valley has become one of the most recognized nonprofit organizations in the community and a national leader in animal welfare. Services include: leash law enforcement, regulating barking dogs, regulating vicious/dangerous dogs, dog licensing, rabies control, bite quarantines and dead animal removal.
