Bitten By A Kitten Rescue is a private rescue in Berkeley, CA. We save orphan kittens from euthanasia in local shelters and take litters from private parties. We often take orphan litters to bottle-feed. Our kittens are all raised underfoot to be happy, healthy, friendly and affectionate family pets. Kittens are spayed/neutered before they go to their adoptive homes, to be certain that they will never contribute to the tragedy of the overpopulation of companion animals in this country.

Over the past several years, significant strides have been made in reducing the rate of dog and cat euthanasia all across the nation. Home At Last Rescue (HAL) plays an active role in this "no-kill" movement by rescuing animals from city shelters, providing temporary foster care, and bringing these animals to the public for placement in high-quality, loving homes.

We are an animal rights group whose primary purpose is to reduce the disease of pet overpopulation, which kills more companion animals than any known illness. We offer free spay/neuter for feral cats and low income persons' felines in Sacramento County. Additionally, we trap, spay and neuter, and release feral cats. Although we do street and shelter rescue and make every attempt to assist independent animal rescuers, we are unable to take in owner relinquished animals. However, we do offer online listings for the public

We are a small non-profit charity founded by a group of professionals and cat lovers. Our goal is to find loving homes for the cats that we have rescued. Since they have already lost their home at least once, we are looking for truly committed, quality homes, where the cats will live long and happy lives.
Because our cats live in foster homes, we know their personalities very well. For the same reason, our cats adapt to a new home very easily, even though most of them are adult.
