Giving Pets a Second Chance at Love
Who We Are
Animal Rescue Volunteers, Inc. is a non-profit organization that began in 1994. We are all volunteers who love animals and wish to make a difference by helping end the pet over population problem and rescuing abandoned animals. We are a well respected, long-standing organization that provides this service to the Simi Valley Community as well as the larger | Ventura and Los Angeles County areas. We mainly rescue from local shelters the animals that are on the kill lists and place them in to fosters homes until we can find them a forever home. We have adoptions every Satruday from noon till 4pm at the Simi Valley Petsmart.

We are an all volunteer, non-profit 501c3 which was founded in February, 2001. The Peaceful Kingdom Alliance 4 Animals is dedicated to help stop animal abuse and suffering through public education and national awareness. We believe that all animals, as our fellow living creatures, deserve our respect and appreciation and that it is our duty to do our utmost to protect them from harm. It is our sincere desire to do our part, and encourage others as well, to help stop the pet overpopulation problem through spaying and neutering, NOT euthanasia. Our mission is to help homeless and abandoned animals, and those that have been abused, mistreated, or injured, to find shelter, medical help and, at long last, the wonderful new forever homes that they each so richly deserve!

A-PET is strictly a no-kill, rescue shelter! Once an animal comes through our doors, it stays with us until an appropriate home is found for that animal. A-PET boasts over 270 successful adoptions! We never "return" or release an animal to any Animal Control Facility nor do we ever turn an animal over to any other organization that participates in euthanasia. A-PET accepts animals on a space available basis giving priority to the rescue and care of lost, injured, abandoned and/or stray animals from Edwards Animal Control as well as PCS Surrenders. PCS surrenders are those animals that come from military members who have Deployment or PCS Orders and are unable to continue properly caring for their pet(s) due to the Air Force Mission.

Wing and a Prayer Rescue is a small independent rescue, 501c(3) status pending, comprised of a few individuals who take dogs from high kill shelters or special needs dogs and place them in loving permanent homes. Since it's inception in the summer of 2003 over 250 dogs have been rescued and rehomed. As the number of dogs saved is directly proportionate to the number of foster homes we have, foster homes are always being sought out. Wing and a Prayer pays for food and any medical expenses incurred. If you'd like to share your home with a deserving dog in route to it's forever home please email Nola at stewball3@comcast.net or call 707-874-1312. You won't be sorry!
