PAWS rescues cats and kittens who would otherwise be put to death at the county animal shelter. In the past two years alone, over 800 beautiful innocent loving creatures were rescued by PAWS and placed in new homes.
We are staffed entirely by volunteers and funded entirely by individual donations. Your contributions are vital to our surviva

Project Purr is a 501(c)3 nonprofit all volunteer organization dedicated to feral cats and kittens. Our goal is to decrease the feral cat overpopulation by funding our low cost spay/neuter feral cat program for the past 18 years at Adobe Animal Hospital. This benchmark is an amazing accomplishment towards the ethical treatment of all animals. Project Purr advocates Trap/Neuter/Return as opposed to Trap and Kill. Ultimately, this means lower stray intake rates for the shelters, tremendous cost savings for taxpayer-funded animal control, less competition for homes for adoptable cats, and less euthanasia for all cats! Each feral cat or kitten altered brings us coser to reaching the goal of no more unwanted homeless animals. All-volunteer Project Purr is funded solely through donations! Ferals Are Our Friends! Fix a Feral! Spay a Stray! Come Visit Us! Our website is www.projectpurr.org ... donate on-line...or leave us a message a 831/423-MEOW...we'd love to hear from you.

Welcome to PROUD (Pet Rescue of Unwanted Dogs)! PROUD was founded in 1997, to help make a difference for homeless dogs in Central Valley shelters that were dying by the hundreds -EVERY DAY- *ONLY * because they did not have homes. With heavy hearts we know that we cannot save every dog, but we can make a difference for some of them. The goal to save great dogs and place them in great homes is what we work for everyday.

We are a small group of volunteers in the Orange County and LA County area who focus on rescuing dogs in need and placing them into appropriate homes. All of our pets are altered and vaccinated and have had a temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of home (s) they would do best in. Pups and Pals rescues primarily dogs although we have been known to take an occasional cat, hamster or bird. We rescue them from pounds as well as take in owner surrenders as space permits. Each dog receives and exam and treatment as well as vaccinations and deworming. We also spay or neuter each pet prior to adoption to assist in the fight against pet overpopulation
