Mendocino County Animal Care ControlWe are dedicated to the animals and their welfare on the Mendocino Coast. Not only is the Animal Control Officer called upon to handle cases similar to what's seen on Animal Precinct, we take in stray animals and are committed to finding good, loving homes for the animals that come to our shelter. We work closely with all the local veterinarians, Humane Society, local law enforcement agencies as well as other local animal outreach agencies on a regular basis as well. We have dedicated volunteers that come in and walk dogs to get them the exercise that they need. Meow Haus Sanctuary and Foster CatteryThe Meow Haus is a safe, comfortable, and loving place to reside for cats and kittens, who would otherwise have died due to the overpopulation problem and limited space at public shelters. The Meow Haus is also the permanent home for rescued cats and kittens who are considered unadoptable due to behavior problems and special needs.
