Laramie Peak Humane SocietyPreviously been known as the Douglas Animal Shelter, Laramie Peak Humane Society was selected as the new name for the community animal shelter. LPHS is a non-profit organization that serves companion animals in Douglas, WY and the surrounding area. The purpose of LPHS is to protect, care for and provide for the reasonable and humane disposition of homeless dogs and cats in our community. This organization assists care givers and pet owners in protecting, caring for and treating animals in a compassionate and humane manner. We work hard to educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering to help keep the number of unwanted dogs and cats down, as well as advocating for the humane treatment of animals.
