P.A.W.S (Pet Adoption Welfare Service)P.A.W.S. is a non-profit adoption service designed to help find homes for animals in need either medically or otherwise. These animals come to us as strays, orphans and sadly, sometimes as unwanted pets. Any animal over 6 months old is automatically neutered if it has not already been done, before it is placed for adoption. All required vaccines are brought up to date. All animals in the P.A.W.S. program are kept until they find homes. LCR is sometimes given horses from owners who can no longer keep their equestrian friend. Established in 1909 and chartered in 1916, the Montgomery County SPCA (in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania), has three locations. The Conshohocken facility houses the administrative offices as well as small domestic animals. The Perkiomenville facility includes a pet cemetery and horse farm along with facilities for small animals.
