A.C. PAW is an all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are licensed with the Department of Agriculture.
AC PAW started as a vision of two people, Brian Manley and June McGrath to ensure a safe haven for animals from abuse, hunger, disease and death. As we all know to well, the over population problem happening at animal shelters, A.C. PAW was founded to give the animals a second chance at life.
We are officially begining our 8th year of volunteer service.

Animals Depend On People Too, Inc., At A.D.O.P.T. Pet Rescue, we work tirelessly to ensure that no dog or cat is forced to suffer cruelly by wandering the streets, with no home to go to and no one to provide warmth and love. The members of A.D.O.P.T. are dedicated to this effort because each of us knows that....ANIMALS DEPEND ON PEOPLE, TOO!

Since opening on October 31, 1989, A.D.O.P.T. has found homes for over 12,000 pets. It takes a lot of hard work on the part of our generous volunteers to find homes for between fifteen and fifty kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs every week. We continue to spend our days working long hours because we love the animals and want to save them by finding a good home for as many of them as we can!
While ADOPT has, on occasion, adopted dogs to homes out of state, we DO NOT ship animals. In the past, prospective adopters from surrounding states have driven here to meet our dogs and cats, and to search for a potential friend.
Our volunteers work very hard to make the best possible match between your home and lifestyle and our dogs and cats. An important part of this process is meeting you and having you meet with the animals. We have a safe fenced area where family members can interact with potential adoptees, and where our knowledgeable volunteers will help answer your questions.

Who are we? We are me! I am a Small and Large Animal Vet Tech and I come across many animals in need in my line of work. I try to save what I can. I wish I could afford to save them all but since I am only one person it is not always possible. My life and work are rewarding because of these animals and I think I owe it to them to try and help!

The Association for Needy and Neglected Animals was incorporated as a non-profit animal welfare organization in June of 2004. The group is named for Anna - a Shitzu mix (pictured at left) that was brought into the local police impound and was scheduled for euthanasia. Our director spotted her and took her in. With a little time, effort and expense, Anna was cleaned up and back on her way to good health. Our organization was started to help other animals like Anna get a second chance. We put the extra time and effort into getting as many adoptable pets new loving, life long committed homes.

We believe that animals, as living creatures, deserve to be protected, respected and given every consideration morally and ethically. Our mission is to assist with and provide for the health and welfare of the animals that have been abused, mistreated, abandoned and injured; to promote the bond between animals and people; and to instill an appreciation and respect for all living creatures with whom we share this earth. Abandoned Angels is a virtual shelter and also works with Friends of Animals to help Dogs and Cats found in more remote areas of Tennessee.
