We function as the Humane Society in Saunders County. We work closely with law enforcement to get strays back home when they are found. When original homes can't be found then we look for new homes if they are adoptable animals.

Sav-R-Cats began as a small group of volunteers with a dream to end the inhumanity put upon so many feral and stray cats in our resort community. That dream has now spread throughout the County. We are a local source for all domestic, stray and feral cat information. We promote , educate, train and performTrap/Neuter/Return for the many colonies in our area. We support many caregivers and fight for animal and cat rights with our legal team. We are currently working with the County government to improve the conditions at the Animal Control facility and are actively working with the new Horry Georgetown Animal Coalition to improve conditions for all animals housed there.

S.P.C. is a volunteer based group wanting to end the suffering of unwanted and abused animals. Our mission is to educate all adoptive parents and foster parents about the importance of spaying and neutering, vaccines, and flea and heart worm preventatives. Most of the animals that come to S.P.C. are unwanted due to ailments that could have been avoided had their families taken or known of the proper precautions.

Create awareness of how IMPORTANT it is to spay/neuter all animals. Find foster homes where dogs can stay safe until adopted into great forever homes. Help place owner surrender dogs into loving homes. SADT pulls animals out of kill shelters, re-trains and loves them, cares for them, get each of them medical care, find them the perfect matching family. Not just a home but the best possible match for dog and human because of matching we have a 99% of NO return dogs. We consider the dog and human lifestyles, and carefully select the right home as we want dog/human to be together happily ever after.

SADSAC was formed in order to help save adoptable pets on an occasional basis. Every once in a while, I would become involved in a situation where a pet was to be needlessly euthanized, and I found myself trying to find a rescue group that could help. Now I am the one to try to offer help. Our focus is to save lives and prevent litters. There are so many that are euthanized every day--if we prevent one litter or save one life, it goes a long way!
