We are an organization that tries to educate about adopting homeless animals rather than purchasing puppies from mass producers. We try to match people with dogs in shelters or rescues.

I saw a real need for pet rescue in the Centralia area. So many animals are euthanized each year in the Centralia Shelter that I decided to get out there and help the Humane Society out. I started out fostering for the Centralia Humane Society, but I wanted to do more. My main focus is on pulling cats and dogs from the city shelter, but I do take strays in off the street from time to time.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) believes that animals, as living creatures, have value beyond economic measurement, and are entitled to legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection. The spcaLA's mission is to act as an advocate on behalf of animals and as an enforcer of their rights; to provide for the well-being of the animals of Southern California who are abandoned, injured, subjected to unfair or cruel treatment, or otherwise in need; to cultivate in the people of our community an awareness of the animals whose world we share; to promote a bond of mutual assistance between people and animals; and to instill respect for and appreciation of all living things.

Los Banos Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter that receives a lot of help from the volunteers. We are a very small shelter in a growing city. Our volunteers have opened the shelter on Saturdays for adoptions. We groom and exercise the dogs, which also help us evaluate them for placement. We also work with several rescues in an effort to save the lives of adoptable animals. We are currently working on public education, and spay/neuter programs.

The Lost Companion (TLC) came together in the summer of 2006, when a group of women saw the need to help a feral (wild) cat population in the village of Wild Rose, in central Wisconsin. To help these cats, a nonprofit organization was set up using the guidelines of Allied Cat Allies, an organization which has advocated for nonlethal methods (TNR) to reduce outdoor cat populations, for over a decade.

The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF), a 501 c (3) non-profit organization, is a highly dedicated group of volunteers that rescues abandoned or displaced dogs and cats from the threat of euthanasia by area shelters or other at-risk situations. Once in our care, these companion animals are fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered. We also provide for those animals who need additional time and medical care before going to a new home.
While awaiting placement in permanent, loving homes, these animals stay either at our boarding facility, the Lost Dog Ranch (on 61 acres in Sumerduck, VA), or in foster homes.
