Pet Project is a newly formed organization dedicated to helping animals at risk, and educating the public about responsible pet care. We especially want to target schools for education in pet ownership. Our shelter houses pets for adoption while our sanctuary houses animals deemed unadoptable. We even house several dogs abandoned by another "rescue". One of our goals is to initiate a trap/alter/release program for feral cats.

Our purpose is to care for and find "forever homes" for homeless and/or displaced pets without using euthanasia as a method of population control and to provide spay/neuter certificates to qualified persons needing help with vet services for that procedure. The Humane Society of the Beaverhead accepts any and all unwanted or lost pets that are brought into the facility and will care for them until they are placed in new homes.
