THAMES VALLEY ANIMAL WELFARERegistered Charity no: 900616 TVAW is a small charity based in the Henley on Thames, Reading, and Maidenhead areas and aims to rehome its cats and kittens within approximately a 20 mile radius of Henley. They specialise in the rescue of abandoned, stray and unwanted cats and kittens. The animals are accommodated in purpose-built heated cat houses in the gardens of a team of volunteer fosterers until suitable permanent homes are found for them. They provide veterinary treatment as required and spay or castrate all adult cats before rehoming. No cat is euthanised unless it is on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. TY AGORED ANIMAL SANCTUARYRegistererd Charity no: 514035 Mrs Barbara Packham founded Tŷ Agored Animal Sanctuary in the early 1970’s. The sanctuary became a registered charity on the 27th June 1983, the Bye Laws having been adopted on the 3rd June 1983 From small beginnings it has grown in both size and repute, but its aims remain the same. These are to rescue animals in need or in distress, to advocate spaying and neutering as the best way of preventing litters of unwanted puppies and kittens, and to carry out a policy of re-homing. Every care is taken to find suitable homes and to match animals with the right kind of owner. Efforts are made to encourage children to learn how to look after their pets and understand their needs. Among the many animals accommodated at Tŷ Agored are strays, unwanted animals, animals which are the victims of the breakdown of marriages, and many puppies and kittens whose owners have allowed their un-neutered pets to breed indiscriminately and do not take any responsibility for the resultant litters. TYDDYN CAT RESCUE CENTREAreas covered: Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Powys, Wrexham The care of lost, abandoned and sick cats. Feral cats are neutered/spayed and, when possible, returned to where they were found. Most of this is routine and repetitive work but quite a high level of knowledge of animals - cats in particular - is necessary as a watch has to be kept to recognise abnormalities when they occur. VENTURE FARM ANIMAL TRUSTRegistered Charity no: 1015098 The trust rescues, cares for, neuters and rehomes many cats, as well as a variety of other animals. They are always looking for loving new homes for their rescued felines, including some with FIV (who will need to be 'indoor' cats). The trust is always grateful for donations of goods suitable for resale, and will be pleased to receive them at their support shop in Dereham, or at the farm.
