The Fort Frances Friends of Animals is a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to providing care and shelter to the numerous unwanted, abandoned and neglected animals in the Rainy River District. Our primary goal is to continue our efforts in developing our current shelter facility to house the numerous homeless and unwanted pets in our Adopt-A-Pet Program. Operating our own independent shelter gives us the ability to provide a higher level of care for the homeless animals who so desperately need our help and compassion.

Friends of Abandoned Pets (FOAP) is an independent non-profit organization in Ottawa, ON Canada. We are a group of dedicated, caring people who love animals. FOAP is sensitive to the plight of abandoned, homeless cats and dogs in our area, and are prepared to give our time and energy to help them. We are all volunteers. Our reward is to see a frightened, often desperately thin, sometimes injured, homeless cat or dog blossom into a self-confident, happy pet in a loving home. We all help in our own way. Since we do not have a building in which to house animals, they stay in temporary foster homes until a permanent adoptive home is found. FOAP is always in need of caring foster homes, who are willing to provide food, love, and shelter; FOAP pays for veterinarian costs while they are under foster care. Once an animal is adopted, we charge a reasonable fee to help recover some of the veterinarian costs.

One of the most important things we can give our Pets is "Time". The time to love them, care for them, and train them. Animal Shelters and Humane Societies across the country are filled with Pets whose families didn't have "Time". Every year, the "Time is up" for 12 million companion Pets. Do you have the "Time" to make a difference?
