We've been around officially for two years. We have a shelter in Saginaw County but our office is at the Flint address. We are primarily a dog rescue although we've placed birds and rabbits once or twice. We are an all-breed rescue. We specialize in big, black dogs, and mixed breeds because they are the last to get adopted but we love them all. We are presently self-funded so we could use any help we can get, especially need volunteers. We are a non-profit rescue and have begun the process for getting out 501c3 non-profit license.

Pawfect Pets is an all-breed rescue dedicated to saving and enhancing the lives of companion animals. We are actively involved in educating our community about proper animal care and effective means of problem solving. If room is available we take all companion animals including, but not limited to: canines, felines, birds, reptiles, and small animals. We will do whatever possible to help with behavior or health issues in hopes that the animal(s) will not lose their home.

We are a small group of people that found a need in our area for a program to rehome small animals. We re-home everything from Dogs and Cats to Mice and Reptiles. We strive to re-home for life and provide education and assistance throughout the pets life, therefore we stay in contact with our adoptive parents.

We were the first and only rescue for German Shepherds in the state at that time. Our mission was to help abused, neglected, and/or abandoned German Shepherds to find a new home for the rest of their life. Eventually, we started taking in birds and farm animals also. To date, WGSR has placed over 1000 loving pets in new homes.

Animal Education and Rescue, NFP
is an Illinois not for profit organization. We are a 501 (c) 3 organization. 3. The purpose of the foundation is to help countless numbers of animals and people.
1. We speak to schools, civic organizations, and clubs about responsible pet ownership. This will include the reasons for spaying and neutering, general care, and the do's and don'ts of owning a pet. We teach pet owners about how animals communicate with each other and with humans. We have designed special programs to introduce animals to children through animal body language sessions and pet education.
2. We provide pet therapy programs. Volunteers and their pets will visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities, schools for the disabled and hospitals. (Studies have proven that overall mental and physical health of humans is improved when they are exposed to animals.)
3. We are a resource for other animal related non-profit groups. During our public speaking and through our office we will provide a list of animal shelters, foster care foundations and other animal related organizations.
4. We assist people in placing abandoned, abused and surrendered pets of all kinds.
