The shelter is owned and run by the Exeter, East and West Devon Branch of the RSPCA. Set in 21 acres of lovely countryside, the shelter has been caring for unwanted and abandoned animals since 1991. Currently, they can accommodate up to 60 dogs and 25 cats, as well as other domestic and farm animals. All homes are checked prior to adoption, and all dogs, cats and rabbits are neutered prior to adoption. Cats and dogs are also vaccinated and microchipped. Fundraising events and public donations are vital to keep the shelter running, as costs can be as high as £4,000 per week.

Founded in 1986, the sanctuary has helped a huge variety of sick and homeless animals over the years, finding new caring homes for some of them to go to, and becoming a permanent home to many others who cannot be rehomed. They sanctuary relies completely on public support, including pet sponsorship, and the 'Friends of Redgate' membership scheme. The sanctuary is open to visitors, with wheelchair access, toilets, a cafe and shop.

Welcome to MGFT Animal Sanctuary. We specialise in animal care for all types of animals: cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and even Doris a pot-bellied pig!

Based around Poole in Dorset, they cover areas in: Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and IOW. They rescue abandoned cats and kittens, caring for them in volunteer foster homes until they can be rehomed. Also helping dogs and occasionally other animals.

(Formerly the Animal Rescue Group, Wokingham) They have been rescuing and rehoming cats, dogs and other domestic animals for over 40 years, across Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. Although a high level of funding is needed to keep the rescue ticking over, several generous legacies enabled the charity to relocate to their new, properly equipped Rescue Centre at Hurst in May 2003, where their animals receive the best of care until they are rehomed
